I think targetting would be too powerful...
what if it would appear in one of the hexes in a certain radius from a specified location:
Basic: 3 hexes Advanced: 2 hexes Expert: 1 hex
I like flame strike - sth like enhanced Chain Lightning. May be a bit too powerful though. (I think Chain Lightning does SP*25 damage to the first unit)

That's why chain lightning is level 4...
flame strike *must* do the same damage to all creatures... that's what makes it flame strike, it's simultaneous, not sequential

mmmm...
would Flame-strike hit only the opponents?
Or would it be Armag. with a different visual effect?

Only opponents...
that's why I think it may be a *bit* too powerful.

That's why I mentioned...
that it could be level 6, and if it *has* to be, then level 6 spells should be implemented

I think it could be balanced...
giving:
Basic: 20*SP damage Advanced: 20*SP + 20 Expert: 20*SP + 40
to every nme critter.

Only the enemy...
I thought I covered this :ţ come on, fire needs a good spell

that sounds good...
I think Pringel posted some ideas of the spell yesterday in the comm. Proposing the renaming of Blind to paralyze and adding another "blind" that would allow units to move and attack, but they have a chance of moving to the wrong hex (and attack wrong creatures, including friendly ones)

Sounds like Berserk...
Anywayz, how about a spell that would remove beneficial spells from enemy troops?

but it isn't...
with this new blind they would move in roughly the right direction (the hero has to give the order to move) and then take position somewhere nearby the intended target and take a swing at whatever is infront of them.
And the removal of enemy good spells... how about giving Expert Curse that ability? would raise the status of Fire Magic a bit!

Yes, Expert Curse...
would be good for it. Fire Magic does need help.

okay, another spell
Create Obstacle: lvl 3 spell
Creates a obstacle on the battlefield, basicly the opposite of Remove Obstacle.
but with one improvement, you can use it to "fill up" a portion of the moat. so that the water (or whatever) is removed and your troops can just walk in trough a hole without having to stop at the moat.
the Moat can of course be cleared with Remove.

The whole moat? ...
It's kinda powerful. Maybe a higher level and on expert?
like lvl4 create and remove allowing to empty or refill or create moats?

no...
I actually had 1 hex in mind...
but could be 1 hex at basic. 3 at advanced and whole moat at expert.
And the moat spell could be nice... but I'd prefer to have Create and Remove O.

How can you empty 1 hex of a moat???
What about the laws of physics?

not empty!
fill!

but it has to be empty in order to be filled...
in the first place....

no it doesn't
drop meatballs in a cup of coffee and you'll notice that the meatballs go in and the coffee gives room, and after a couple of meatballs are in, they'll start to peek up from the coffee, now if you had really small goblins, they could walk over!

So you are talking about...
a "meatball" "bridge" over the moat?
|
Beltion

Well, I was talking aboutusing dirt...
the "Big meatball" spell could also be used against your enemys units, ot the hero itself!
But seriously, you could have a firespell that dries up a piece of a watermote for X amount of turns.
Thus strenghtening Fire a bit more.
