You know what this means?...
(this is actually the first I've heard of these games, but bear w/ me...)
it means I'm *right* about H4 being canceled last minute after 3DO eeks out every last cent they can from H3 merchandising...
*seriously*, I'm begining to doubt NWC is even working on H4...

As for what I've heard...
HoMM4 will be released at the end of 2001 so they have some time left.
On the other hand, it's supposed to have a new engine...

A rumour I heard says that with all the "simplification" they will go back toward h2 in some areas... Hope that doesn't mean back to 6 towns.

I think the game was ruined already...
with SOD *evil :ţ*...
but I agree, they can't simplify much w/o destoying what they've built
and then this chronicles, please(!)...

I always have second thoughts about...
using the SoD artifacts. They can really unbalance the game. Take the Statue of Legion for example. Once assembled, increases critter growth by 50% in all towns.

yes, the combos are strong...
and it annoys me that they can't be disabled.
specially the Cloak, which is easy to make 'cause it's only 3 artis combined and real unballancing too.
The Armour makes those wandering stacks so easy to beat.
The Bow makes a full Tower army very hard to beat.
And don't even get me started on the Elixir.
