Adventure spells...
This idea was also inspired by the Disciples game:

Haste (cast on friendly hero)
Basic: recovers 25% move points (can be cast once a day)
Advanced: recovers 50% move points (once a day)
Expert: recovers all move points (twice a day)

Paralyze (cast on nme hero)
Basic: removes 25% move points
Advanced: removes 50% move points
Expert: removers all move points (paralyzes the hero for one day)

Those would have to be pretty high level...
*and* restricted to certain casle/hero types...(also, haste needs to be restricted to once/day, unless you have a 4th level of mastery...)

I like the idea, though, and it lets me put foward mine...
I want "permanent" adventure spells

what I mean, is that the hero would pay upkeep every turn on the spells he wanted to keep active...

these permanent enchantments would also include *most* "battle" spells, which would now be able to be cast on stacks while on the adventure map...
of course, the bigger the stack, the more initial mana, and more upkeep the hero would pay
and just to make it clear now, "recasting" the spell in battle on the same unit would have no effect, but you *could* do it, and waste your mana :ţ

those can be pretty strong...
I'd like a spell that you could cast on yourself for extra movement (trade mana for movement).

And I'd also like the option of just forcing your soldiers to march harder. (but that would reduce morale.)

I like Beltion's ideas too...
maybe if that mana->movement thing was a specialty too...

and maybe if Beh's sugestion had been equal to the logistics skill... that would make the spells more feasable

Thanks DumB
well, since movement is a key factor in the game, these would have to be pretty high level spells.

And what do you mean specialty? like a sec skill?

All heroes (in 3) had a specialty...
yours would be good as a spell, but it would be a cooler specialty(the mana->movement thing)

oh, a unque skill...
like Gelu can turn various units in to sharpshooters, a hero could turn mana into movement points.

Good idea, but this hero should be of a class that can't learn intelligence, otherwise it would be way too powerfull. Imagine turning a 1000sp to movement and still having enough to fight a battle. (a good arti or two and a Mana Vortex combined with Intelligence make it easy to get over a 1000 mana)

Speaking of which...
we need more "unique" units...
maybe one per city type, and accessible w/, say, only 2 heroes...(a 'might' and a 'magic')?
Beltion

Like a Gelu per town?
or more like 1 Might Gelu and 1 Magic Gelu for Town A.
And 1 Might, 1 Magic Dracon for Town B.
and so on...

That's good, but what happens when there is a 8 player MP and three people pley town B? someone will get the short straw there!

How about... something like Artifacts that allow unitupg.

Or maybe something like compatible external dwelling.
For example, the Stronghold could have Boars among them without morale penalty, but there wouldn't be any board dweilling in the town.

*not* like Gelu...
the units would still be the same level, just another upg...
and the specialty would be comparable to all others in the town

sort of like...
Archer becomes Crossbowman instead of Marksman?

Higher HP, A and D. But only 1 shot.

Something like that?
Why need heroes for that?

The different upgrades for critters are a marvelous idea. Posted it in a new thread.

No, they would be an upgx2...
but it wouldn't be enough to 'bump' them into the next creature bracket

it would be more like archers -> marksmen-> long bowmen, doing the same damage as the markmen in 1 shot but no more speed, A, or D :ţ
