*appears in a burst of crimson bale-fire*
Now, I haven't posted here in quite a while even though I've been reading what you guys've been saying mostly because the suggestions I would have would go completely against what you guys want, which is MORE STUFF! If you ask me, Heroes has some TRIMMING, and SHARPENING to do. Have you guys ever heard of something called a "feature glut"? It's a concept that eludes many people, when there are so many things thrown in haphazardly that the game gets dragged down because nothing fits together very well...

You guys want more special sutff and more towns and more of everything to create variety, but don't you think maybe instead 3do should try doing more with what they already have? Town types can't be too RADIACALLY different, you know, with unique spells and techonolgy trees like in Starcraft because chances are you're always going to capture other towns of different alignments than your own unless the enemy's the same as you (in which case increased "diversity" would be pointless...)

Here's what I think we need...

- Fewer town types (consolidation of existing towns if need be...)
- Fewer, better balanced spells
- Fewer secondary skills
- More types of creatures per town
- Better balanced heroes
- More emphasis on combat and less on town buildup
- Moderation of creature attack/defense levels and HP (we have inflation in Heroes III, which makes might heroes less important than magical ones...)

New features are nice, but only when they work well with what's already there... It sounds like this game would hardly resemble Heroes anymore if they put in half the stuff you guys want...

That's the point...
I'm tired of heroes. 2 was good, but its time has passed :ţ...
now I'm looking to amalgamate heroes and master of magic

but I agree, for H4 to be successful, nwc does need to 'polish' what's already there, *but* I don't like being 'severely' limited on options(ie, H1 *sucked* hardcore :ţ)

my priority would be more distinct heroes
(and for the record, I like the town "micromanagement" :ţ)

After reading through all their posts...
... I must say I agree, heroes shouldn't be like that, it's reasonably good a is, and if you expand it further, with very much differences, you'll probably have some troubles with learning how it works to begin with...
