Creature generation...
does it make any sense to you, that an "empty" creature generator is able to produce "full" units week to week??...
good, me neither :ţ(hehe)
anyway, what I suggest, is a logistical growth curve... this means, that the more units *in* a dwelling, the more that get produced in the next week(or even day to day if you want to take it that far :ţ)... this *also* means the more that "die"[iow, the growth reaches a point of diminishing return], it also means that there would be a dwelling max population(which would be fairly large)...
basically, what I'm saying is, you gotta "prime the (water)pump"[oh, sorry, I guess you didn't see that video ;ţ]... the more you leave, the faster the growth(to a point), while an empty dwelling would have a minimum number that it would produce the next *week*(to the *day*)
a few clarifications though... -this setup would only be for *organic* creatures, golems and such would still ahve to be produced and would have a weekly production -and, I'm being as specific as possible, in hopes that I'm not misunderstood, but I also realize that most of this would seem very incohernet to the uninitiated, but I have an obsession w/ "balance" :ţ[not to mention that I'm going madder by the minute(!)]

You forgot about something...
The female units in the dwelling have to be pregnant in a period of time for new units to appear, so the generated units would appear once per 9 months (or different periods for different races)
Seriously, I think this idea could work.

Okay, I'm better now...
yes, I *kinda* overlooked that... but generally speaking, you just assume that when the dwelling is first built, that there are pregnancies already in progress :ţ
also, you kinda need to assume that mostly males are being taken for the armies...
basically, what I'm saying, is that the methods are arbitrary, but they need to be reasonable w/ respect to gameplay :ţ

I like Beh's idea...
once you build a dwelling, you have to wait 9 months for the units. :b
But seriously, it's a good idea...
The smaller low lvl critters could be kept in massive numbers, while "bigger" units would be fever.
Then you could buy dwelling upgrades that gives you a larger storage capacity.

Well, only on *some* dwellings...
the upgd for a swelling would give a larger capacity anyway, *but* it wouldn't be like AB, where you can buy either, since *all* the units must 'evolve' to keep the population growth the same...
and remember, bigger doesn't always mean longer gestation, that mihgt be the creatures' strength ;ţ
