*taking with him a hired mercenary*
*to the dark keep of the earthly beast, the Sire of Souls places the scrolls (wrapped up tightly in a light leather case) on the heavy longbow, and orders him to fire straight for the heart of the Lair. The hired archer does so with excellent range and accuracy, and the two depart swiftly from the region, splitting up and making certain they aren't tracked and/or followed.

The scrolls reveal that the outer tribes of the Wastelands are preparing an assualt upon the Lair itself, after a scant harvest and treachery within the ranks of the leaders. Unable to assualt or mount an attack on the Citadel, they have united against a less guarded enemy (or so they suspect).

Attached to the scrolls, is a message from the Lord of Damnation himself:

"Behemoth, greatest among thy kind, I have gathered these reports and have endangered a great many of those who could have called themselves my allies at this time. The threat of approaching war threatens your homeland, and I bring you this news so that you may better venture forth and vanquish this uprising before it becomes substantial.

I suggest you break it either by a masterful display of your own tactics, or by driving it back in the direction of the Wastelands, as the tribes right now are vulnerable to a strike by your forces.

They also have plans of your Lair and have studied its defenses. Significantly. My spies have relayed this information to me so that I may relay it to you.

My interest in this matter? When you are quelling this uprising of the distant and nomadic clans in a stunning victory, I ask only that you consider my information on this matter a demonstration of my interest in forging an alliance with you. I have powers and legions of my own, but I am reluctant to use them alone and without a strong force, such as yours, by my side.

If you agree to these terms, send a messenger saying so, taking care that he isn't followed or caught, and loyal to the end, and all the proper precautions one must take in these times. I look forward to your agreement to this pact, however temperary you feel it must be.

- The Sire of Souls -"

You are left to determine what you will do next. According to the corraspondences, the rebellion will be amassing soon.*
